I came across this video, I don't think it's been posted before. I know these guys are way bigger than most of us, but there are parts of the video that I found interesting and helpful. It's all grits to the mill. http://www.pfiwestern.com/shoppingwesternstyle/201 0/10/28/rios-of-mercedes-american-made-tour/ Best regards Tom |

Tom, There is a video made by KMBH TV in Harlingen TX with Rios of Mercedes; http://www.kmbh.org/video4.htm The video is older than the recent PFI link. I think they have cahnged a few things since the KMBH video. The Charlie Dunn video is the best one availiable, contact Texas Traditions if interested. (I think all old-time bootmakers should have a video done on their career, hint, hint.....) |

Hey Mark, thanks for that. I have a copy of Charlie's DVD that I got from the Millers a couple of years ago, and it is a must own! A lot of the ol' boys think that no one would be interested in their 'stuff' but they couldn't be more wrong. I think if the right person videoed them in such a way that was true to label and done with integrity and sincerity, they would open up and share some wonderfully amazing insights. Best. Tom. |
