I had the great suprise to bump into two of the nicest people in the "Big Country" Tom and Linda Smith (on the right). As you know Tom is a bootmaker in Aspermont Texas. (post some more photos of those Tom Smith Boots!) (Message edited by admin on May 15, 2005) |

What's a Western Heritage event without some cowboy singers playing and someone in a cowboy hat and sneakers drinking beer and listening. |

Very good grub, chicken fried steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, beans, cornbread and cobbler. I would have taken a picture of my plate except I was too busy with my fork.

It was a great weekend, Ralph and I also drove down to Coleman to spend sometime with Tex Robin, that is always a highlight. Tex showed us a new and very good steakhouse in Santa Anna, TX. In fact, it was a high cholesterol weekend. 1, Chicken-fried steak at Mary's Cafe in Strawn TX Friday evening (Said to be the biggest and best, it gets my vote!) 2. Breakfast at Dixie Pig in Abilene for Saturday morning. 3. The Chuckwagon Cookout Saturday lunch 4. Steak for Saturday dinner Noreta's in Santa Anna 5. Western omlette for Sunday breakfast at JB's in Coleman Texas. Okay, pass me the tofu or tell my wife to get more life insurance on me |

Wow am I glad I did. those are some great pictures, they remind me that we will be home this summer and I’ll be stuffin as much as possible in a short time. Some of those things are the FOOD and MUSIC. I’m glad you had a great time because you just made me happy. Thanks CW |

Carl does his own carving. He says he likes that, carving gun butts and carving clay for hobbies and when he retires. |

Mark Sorry for not responding before now, There has been alot to do at work and at our club. I get around to really looking at mail once a wk. We are going to my dad’s in Santa Fe down around Hitchcock. We will be there for ca. the last three wks of July. I’ll be dropping my daughter off so she can go to high school for a yr. It would be great to see some of you while we are there. I’ll have to take care of some things for Tanja’s school though. By the way my e-mail should be T.tex@get2net.dk or jocw10@hotmail.com The hotmail is for escrima for the most part, but if the other one doesn’t work try that. I’ll go on to the next person now, take care CW |
