Recently someone mentioned Tejas Boot Co
on Westheimer Street in Houston. Mike
Kuykendall has been in business at this location for 17 years. He also has another shop in Fort Worth. The thing is he has a new colorful, showy sign out front that is giving him a lot of attention. We had a nice conversation today and he advised me to go to WF this
fall and meet all of you whom I have already met. I am not going to tell to much more because I am sending Mark the information so he can join in here and
tell all of you about himself. Mark has
worked in computers and should fit right in here. It is always interesting to go
in another boot shop.

Rosemary,

About time you were getting here. Where have you been? Welcome aboard. Has Mike Kuykendall been to WF before?....TR

Tex:
Mike has been to WF. He started telling me all about WF, Charlie Dunn, Lee Miller
but doesn't claim to know you that well but knows who you are. He told me I needed to go up there and meet everyone.
He also said there are not many women who
are making boots or aspire to do so. Mike does not do any of the work on his
boots. There are three men in the Houston shop who do the actual work.
He explained he is the sales person.
He does do the measuring.

All, I just found this on the internet..

http://www.tailored-for-you.co.uk/

Here is a shoemaking company in England that is using the pic from "The Texas Boot Book" of James Leddy's from page 38 and also a pic from Little's and Rocketbuser's. He is representing them as his styles. Have a look..It has to be s violation of copyright or something......TR
