After three years of getting settled in Abilene I have finally decided to start back with the seminars..I had my first student in July. She was from Canada and was the first in about 5 years..I will be doing a more abreviated style of seminar now from one day or less for some stages of bootmaking and one week seminars for a full pair of boots. If anyone is interested they can email me or call for their particular needs...Tex Robin, trboots@sbcglobal.net 325-691-5700

Here some examples of seminars I might do;

1. The use of the Celastic toe box in the round and Square toe, and shaping and lasting the toe in after it is shaped. Length of time 4-6 hrs...

2. Inseaming with polyester strings using a monofiliment bristle. Length of time 3-4 hrs.

3. Preparing, triming, and channeling the insole before lasting. Length of time 3-4 hrs.

4. Preparing shank and fillers before attaching soles..2-3 hrs

There are several stages of making the cowboy boot that can be taught in just a few hours and it could improve ones bootmaking and speed up the process as well. If you have one you would like to learn better, let me know...TR
