In a long time. Just lasted the brown kangaroo yesterday. The other pair I started this past week on my days off. Burgandy fc with red calf tops, 14". Haven't worked on boots in several years. I'm sure having fun getting back into making boots.

The second pair finished. I learned that I need to tape off the toe while inseaming. Benedictine FC 16" tops and vamps. Water staining was a problem. Afew other mistakes but I'm coming around. Made for myself. |

Thanks Carrlyn. I've had that leather for a long time. Didn't want to buy new leather until I got a lot of my mistakes out of the way. I'm getting closer. Here is a pair I made for my youngest son. Never wore a pair of cowboy boots before I had to talk him into the stitching on the tops. He did want his initials inlayed. They are Italian roo from Hardtkes and kid skin tops I picked up from EC Leather in Tulsa. I really need to thank Chad Little for helping me out on these.

Just finished these up. Well not entirely finished, I still need to add pull straps. Just can't decide what I want. Inside cloth or outside leather? What color? Yellow roo from Hardtke that I have had for some time, blue Sheridan roo and red Italian roo from Hardtke. The white and green inlay is kid. |

Nice Dan, I'd think some repeat of the foxing's yellow perf pattern on red would look good. Paul |

Thanks for the comments. I've always liked that pattern as well. The foxing was an after thought, as a dark spot came up on the toe of one of the vamps while on the crimp board. This was my first attempt at it as well. Thanks again for the comments. |

Heres a couple of pair I finished in the last couple of days. I made these for my oldest son. Brown Missouri Calf and Green Italian Roo from Hardtke. The stitch pattern was supposed to be pin-stripe inspired. Didn't work as well as I had hoped. But he liked them. |

This pair is for my dad. Softy Buffalo and Cow-Calf from Garlin-Neumann. I really liked the Softy Buffalo, nice to work with. |

This is the first time working with Ostrich. These were made for my brother. Nicotine full quill ostrich from Kelly-Larson and Cognac Milano buffalo from Hardtke. Delivered them this morning. He was quite happy with the fit.
