I now have a private Flicker so I can upload photos to the web and then post here and on Jennifer June’s page. Since almost all my photo’s were originally posted here and linked to Jenn’s page they disappeared when this page was archived I am currently in the process of reloading some photos on her page just under one topic not by year. The mix looks pretty good so far, have a look at the following link: http://www.dimlights.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?boar d=maker;action=display;num=1232327603 “Computer Work for the Brand” Brian C. Those are really sweet Brian! Don't you just love that Dark Brown Softee? It seems customers see it and fall in love with it. It sure looks like you enjoy that single row pattern. Is that Habana the Hardtke Taurus? I'm about to do a pair for a farrier who's a little concerned about it getting hard over time. What kind of feed back have you had on it? Paul

Beautiful Brian. Great post. Did you used a curved last for the march boots? I notice that on some of the boots posted the cone is pointing towards the big toe and on others the cone and clip is going towards the middle toe. Did the one with the cone going twords the big toe have a high arch? thus the use of a curved last? |

Don, the customer ordered Dark brown Toe flowers. I am going to Ask Tex Robin to respond to your question under the Boot making Techniques. Tex has done that before perhaps he has a good photo? I still don't know how he did it and made the variegated thread match up, they were unbelievable! Carrlyn, I have made three pair top and bottom with that leather and the same thread and I have another pair coming up soon; everybody loves that spool of thread Old Rice 100. Thank You “Who said that a one row stitch pattern looks plain?” Brian C. Thomas

Dan, all the chocolate Elephant boots posted belongs to the same customer, he shot it and it was tanned in Iowa. Not my preference, the skin was not shave the same thickness it is thin and thick all over. |
