The Panhandle Plains Museum is looking for information on a Walter Jones, a black bootmaker in Amarillo. They are looking for photographs, boots, and other info about Mr. Jones.

I believe that in the Tyler Beard book "Art of the Boot" Tyler incorrectly refers to a "Walter George" along with Willie Lusk being the only black bootmakers who owned a shop.

They do know that Mr. Jones had a shop from 1971 to his death in 1987.

If you do have some info, you can contact;
